The Class of 1957 challenges your class to raise $100 to sponsor a hole during the annual golf tournament.  All of this money will be placed in the scholarship fund to benefit a graduating senior.  It will take the pressure off finding 18 businesses who are willing to sponsor a hole, as they are constantly being asked for other favors, i.e. door prizes, auction items, complimentary food items, etc.

’57 class members have been contacted to see if we can find ten classmates who are willing to give $10.00 each, thus enabling us to proudly display a sign, “This Hole is sponsored by the Class of ‘57” with the names of the donors listed.  If we have more than ten people who respond, we will combine them with another class of our era, unless we raise another $100.00.

Wouldn’t it be grand if we could find 18 classes who were willing to take this challenge?  Of course, there is nothing to prohibit one generous person from sponsoring his/her own hole.

If you accept the challenge of the class of ’57, contact your class members and have them write a $10 check to LHSAA, and designate it as sponsorship for a golf hole.  You may want to gather the checks and then send them with a cover letter to Treasurer Peggy Anderson, P. O. Box 429, Lonoke, AR 72086.  We will have a committee design the signs and make sure they are posted on the golf course for the Saturday tournament on September 27.

Let’s show that old Jackrabbit spirit—go classes!
